What you'll own
- Work directly with our Accounts Payable team in partnership with the Senior Manager of Accounts Payable and Director of Accounting on day-to-day AP operations, developing an understanding of Relay's procure-to-pay cycle along the way
- Partner with the Senior Manager of Accounts Payable and Director of Accounting on initiatives to innovate and streamline manual processes within AP — identifying inefficiencies, evaluating current workflows, and contributing to solutions that scale with the business
- Get hands-on exposure to how the team manages vendor invoice processing, payment runs, and expense management across our core systems
- Present your project findings/deliverables at our Intern Showcase at the end of the internship

Now, here’s what we’re building, and where you come in. What you will do: • Work directly with our Accounts Payable team in partnership with the Senior Manager of Accounts Payable and Director of Accounting on day-to-day AP operations, developing an understanding of Relay's procure-to-pay cycle along the way • Partner with the Senior Manager of Accounts Payable and Director of Accounting on initiatives to innovate and streamline manual processes within AP — identifying inefficiencies, evaluating current workflows, and contributing to solutions that scale with the business • Get hands-on exposure to how the team manages vendor invoice processing, payment runs, and expense management across our core systems — NetSuite, Tipalti, and Brex • Take on a defined project during the internship focused on identifying a recurring manual process within the procure-to-pay cycle and either building a tool to automate it, conducting a deep analytical review to improve it, or developing documentation and training materials to support the team's operations • Present your project findings/deliverables at our Intern Showcase at the end of the internship • Support the broader Accounting team on ad hoc requests and special projects as needed What you will have: • Accounting major completing their junior year (rising senior) - no prior AP or ERP experience required • Comfortable working in Excel • Experience or interest in using AI tools for data analysis • Attention to detail and a solution-oriented mindset • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Curious, self-motivated, and comfortable asking questions What would be preferred: • Exposure to accounting coursework covering the procure-to-pay cycle • Any familiarity with NetSuite, Tipalti, Brex, or similar AP and expense management platforms About Relay | Culture, Benefits & Perks Our culture hinges on Relayers getting LIT up in an environment that fosters Learning, Impact, and Teamwork, where we CHASE the best work of our lives.
